SCI FI SYNTHROCK NEO-CABARET & MUSICAL COMEDY
Laurie's first fully fledged narrative solo show. A journey through space and time, to escape the earth (cause it's a bit shit) and set foot on the moon. Will she be the first woman to set (stiletto) heel on the moon, and who will she meet along the way?
Accompanied by a piano, a synthesiser and a tiny drum machine, Laurie sings brand new original tune-age, and quirky covers of Bowie and Bellamy, surging upwards to an electric, neo-cabaret genre previously unknown!
Directed by History of Heavy Metal comedian Andrew O'Neill.
"Space Cadette is an enchanting, funny cabaret show [...] an exploration to the moon that has so much to say about earth"
"The notional, potty-mouthed love-child of
Victoria Wood and Gary Numan"
"Drops scientific facts like the Kardashians
drop brand names, way too smart to be a
truly dizzy space cadette"
"Rock n roll geeks and space nerds, unite!
Laurie Black's show is enthralling, extravagant
and truly something out of this world"
